Larxene’s POV

Guess I’ll have to find somewhere else to sleep, I haven’t got my own room yet. That sucks. I’m not even sure of my way around yet, but overall It’s alright.
I keep thinking about Axel. He turned out a lot different to the way Luxord described him to me…

“Well, I think that’s everyone out of the nicer guys in the Organisation. Except for Axel maybe. Watch out for him,” he laughed.
“Why?” I said curiously.
“Well, you’ll either love him or hate him. A bit full of himself though, thinks he’s God’s gift. Axel’s a laugh though really, I think you’ll get along with him okay. He tends to stick around Demyx and Roxas.”
“A walking stag party…” I said with a grin.

…He certainly seemed sweet, I thought.
I curled up on the sofa, resting my head on a pillow and wrapping the hideous cloak tighter around my cold body. He said I had a ‘great figure’. I didn’t know what to say when he gave me that compliment.

I couldn’t sleep. Every time I turned my face was either pressed against the back of the sofa or leaning over the edge of it. Keeping my arms folded wasn’t very comfortable either, but it was so cold I didn’t really have much else to cover myself up with. My hood was pulled up over my head to keep my neck warm, but I was almost in tears after the hundredth time I’d turned over.
Then I heard footsteps across the floor above, and then someone coming downstairs. I prayed it wouldn’t be someone I hadn’t met yet.
They were coming into the room. I didn’t think they could see me. Just as I was about to sit up, the person sat straight down on the sofa on top of me.
“Ow! Get…off!”
“What the…Oh sorry! Sorry!”
“…Axel?” I said, squinting in the dark.
He jumped up, still muttering apologise.
“What’re you doing down here?” he asked sleepily, flexing his bare arms and yawning. His hair stuck up in all directions as he tried to tame it into submission.
“I haven’t got a room yet,” I sighed, leaning back into the sofa. I tried like hell to stop myself from shivering. I gave him a reassuring smile as he sat down next to me.
He was very slender, but fit all the same. He was probably the tallest out of everyone I’d met though. There was a brown leather bracelet on one of his wrists. Cute, I thought.
“Can’t sleep?” he whispered.
“No. What about you?”
“I’m always getting up in the middle of the night, I find it hard getting to sleep sometimes. I’ll get Superior Mansex to get you a room ASAP,” he said. I laughed and thanked him. “I feel mean leaving you to sleep down here,” he said, scratching the back of his head anxiously.
“I’ll be alright for another night,” I said, “I don’t want to cause you any trouble…”
“It’s not a problem, you’ll have one by tomorrow after I’ve told Mans-I mean, Xemnas about it, kay?”
“Thanks, Axel.”
“You sure you alright down here though? Do you want the fire on or a hot drink or anything? I’ll get you a cover or something if you’re cold-”
“Hey! It’s alright, honestly,” I said. I found his behaviour quite funny, but also incredibly adorable.
“Well, alright. Sorry to keep you awake…I’ll err…”
“Night night.”
I curled up, half hoping he’d leave me in peace, the other half wanting to stay and keep me company.
I heard him sigh, then quietly leave the room. Moments later, he came back in and threw a blanket over me, keeping as still as I could. I opened one eye, feeling his own eyes watching me. Then he left me to sleep.

The next morning I woke up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. The curtains in the room were still drawn and it was colder than ever.
“Morning Larxene-”
I gasped. I hadn’t realised there were other people already downstairs. Demyx was crouched over near the fireplace. He struck a match, and the fireplace was instantly lit with a roaring fire which was all I wanted in the chilly room.
That wasn’t all. Luxord AND Marluxia were sat over on the other sofas and I’d never felt so embarrassed in my life. I sat there in my skimpy vest top and underwear in front of a group of men. I immediately reached for the blanket that had fallen off me in the night and wrapped it around me.
“Morning Larxene.”
“Mornin’.”
Only one thought was in my mind: ‘How long had I been lying their in just my vest top and pants???’
It was pointless worrying really: everyone else was sat in their underwear and t-shirts, but I wrapped the blanket tighter around me anyway.
“Err,” I croaked, “has anyone seen my-”
“Your clothes? Axel took them,” said Demyx, “I think he took them up to your new room…” he added uncertainly.
“Aw, man. What?”
Did this mean I had to make it to my room wrapped in a blanket?
They must have seen my expression and looked at each other.
“No one else is awake yet,” said Luxord, looking at his watch, “the bedrooms are upstairs…”
“I bet you took them up there deliberately,” I said through gritted teeth as I stood up. They kept their faces expressionless, but as I turned from the room (keeping the blanket around me) I heard sniggers. Now I wasn’t so sure if I liked them much, but I wasted no time and quickly dived from the room.
Once out on the corridor, I kept to the edge of the wall in the shadows and scuttled away quickly.
I tiptoed up the stairs, then arrived on a passage of doors with roman numerals carved in them. These must be the bedrooms. Mine was next door but one to Axel’s, I noticed and headed that way as quickly as possible until I bumped into someone heavily engrossed in a hardback book.
The startled man was not much older than Demyx, and I recognised his bluey-silver hair from the previous evening, except this time he was wearing little black framed glasses.
“Oh crap…Zexion.”
“Larxene…right?” he said carefully, eyeing me up and down
He blinked at me, startled, then adjusted his lopsided glasses and dived down to retrieve his book. I saw my chance and darted away, thankfully arriving to my room before I could let any more embarrassments get in my way.
I noticed the arrangement plans of the rooms were even numbers on the left hand side, and odd numbers on the right, which meant Luxord was in between Axel and I, with Roxas opposite me. Xemnas’ room must be elsewhere in the castle.
The bedroom was pretty amazing, all white to match the rest of the castle, obviously, but I was very pleased to see a king-sized bed with white silk sheets. Plus there was a balcony. And a dresser with a mirror propped up on top of it.
One other thing was set on the table which I knew couldn’t of been there before: A small white vase with a pink rose stood in it had a tag tied around it’s stem. I read:
To Larxene, welcome to the Organisation.
Your friend, Axel xo.
“Kiss and a hug,” I whispered to myself. I took the label off the flower and placed it inside one of my books. A romance novel, like the rest of them I’d brought with me along with my other things. Thankfully my Organisation cloak and boots were folded neatly on the bed with my case of possessions. I’d have to thank Axel later. More so for being the one making me feel so welcome.
